Local Scholarships

Placeholder GraphicThe American Legion is the nation’s largest and most influential organization of wartime veterans which was charted in 1919.

The post in Darrouzett was chartered in 1948 and began awarding scholarships 35 years ago.

Originally dedicated to Darrouzett High School Seniors, when we lost our High School, the post decided to offer grants to seniors from the remaining county schools. When Darrouzett regained its High School, the post decided to keep the scholarship open to all.

The Ex-Student Association is an alumni organization for all past Darrouzett graduates, staff, and attendees of Darrouzett ISD. A scholarship is awarded on their behalf at graduation to honor future alumni.
